We have two famous traditional Dutch candy products,
the Dutch Babbelaars and the Dutch Coffee
Candy. The Dutch Babbelaars are a specialty from Zeeland, a Dutch province.
De Babbelaars were produced in the beginning at home
and later at a larger scale.
In a small pan the sugar syrup was cooked with water,
before adding the butter and a small
bit of vinegar.
The Dutch Coffee Candy, made from a traditional Dutch recipe,
is one of the eldest candy products in the Netherlands.
The Candies are produced in Zeeland.
Until today the old, approved recipe is still used.
This traditional candy is enjoyment in the old fashioned way.
